Club Championships

The Tennis Club Championships are run annually; normally after Christmas with the finals around the same date as the senior Interclub competition is drawing to a close. 

Rules:  Rounds and Finals Format

Singles:  best of 3, standard tie break in the 1st 2 sets, full long set in the 3rd

Doubles/Combines:  best of 3, standard tie break in the 1st 2 sets, super breaker in the 3rdChampionship:  straight knock out, seeded draw, according to grading list

Losers in 1st round of Championship go into the Plate (Special Plate if time) Consolation Plate is subject to the number of entries & time available

Prizes for Championship winners, runners up, plate winners and runners up

ALL Plate games will play 1st to 9 games only

ALL Championship finals are to be played on the finals dayT

The order of play will be:  1st week Singles, 2nd week Combines/Mixed Doubles, 3rd week doubles, 4th week Finals day.  5th week penciled rain out day, 6th week penciled rain out day (if it rains on 1 of the scheduled play days, then the competition falls back 1 day for example, if it rains on week 2 the combines/mixed will be played on week 3 with the finals day being moved back to the 5th week of the competition, utilising the 1st rain out day.

Finals for Club Champs will be played on Sunday 1st April 2012 from midday onwards with prizegiving & BBQ to follow.
